L-Arginine and the miracle molecule

What is this Arginine (sometimes written with L’ or L-)?

Arginine is a chemical building block called ‘an amino-acid’, which is normally obtained from our diet and is necessary for the body to make proteins.

It is is converted in the body into a chemical called nitric oxide. This is is what is often called ‘the miracle molecule’.

Nitric oxide causes blood vessels to open wider for improved blood flow. It turns your circulation system into a blood superhighway! Nitric oxide is produced by nearly every type of cell in the human body and is one of the most important molecules for blood vessel health.

These are are some benefits:

Improved sexual function

Nitric oxide is needed for the muscles in the penis to relax. This relaxation allows chambers inside the penis to fill with blood so the penis becomes erect.

Reducing blood pressure

Nitrate is a compound found in beetroot and dark leafy greens like spinach and arugula.

When you consume nitrate, your body converts it to nitric oxide, which in turn causes blood vessels to relax and dilate, lowering blood pressure. So does Arginine.

Improved sport and exercise performance

Nitric oxide is involved in many cell processes, including the widening of the blood vessels, or vasodilation. Wider blood vessels help increase the delivery of nutrients and oxygen to working muscles during exercise, thus enhancing exercise performance.

This has made nitric oxide supplements popular among athletes and recreational gym-goers.

May improve memory and cognitive function

Improves blood supply and oxygen to the brain.

May help with Type 2 diabetes

Nitric oxide production is impaired in people with type 2 diabetes

This leads to poor blood vessel health, which can lead to conditions like high blood pressure, kidney disease and heart disease over time.

Therefore, supplements that increase nitric oxide may have important implications for diabetes treatment and disease prevention. But it’s still early days with this research.

Other benefits of Arginine

Arginine also stimulates the release of human growth hormone, and insulin in the body. This improved production of human growth hormone can help speed up recovery from injury.

It is also used for treatment of conditions including congestive heart failure (CHF), chest pain, high blood pressure and coronary artery disease.

SHEET MASKS AND BIOCELLULOSE

1. WHAT IS A SHEET MASK?

Sheet masks are face-shaped fabric masks infused with a nutrition-packed solution called serum. The sheet is made up of variety of materials including papers, fibers or gel types. They are generally used once and are individually packaged, making them fast, convenient, and easy to use.

2. HOW DO I USE SHEET MASKS?

It’s very easy! Apply to cleansed face, leave for 20-30 minutes, take it off and enjoy! You can use as often as you want through the week and you don’t need to rinse after applying, in fact you shouldn’t rinse it off.

3. HOW DOES SHEET MASK WORK?

The sheet is infused with concentrated serum, containing a mixture of ingredients such as hyaluronic acid, botanicals, vitamins etc. These are absorbed while the mask is in place, and afterwards.

4. WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS?

The sheet on your face helps the serum to soak in your skin more effectively. Basically, sheet masks are inexpensive compared to going to a spa, convenient, easy to apply, and bring a glowing effect on your skin.

5. WHAT ARE THEY MADE FROM?

Various types of fabric are used for sheet masks. These are the most common:

*Non-woven fibre – Inexpensive, hard to move around, low capacity to deliver serum into the skin.

*Cotton – Inexpensive, hard to move around, low capacity to deliver serum into the skin (but better than the non-woven fibre).

*Hydrogel – Costly, great absorption system, gel-type consistency, two separate parts (top and bottom) to apply on face, hard to move around but fits the shape of the face well.

*Bio-cellulose – Expensive, all-natural material, adheres to the skin well, better absorption properties, easy to move around.

Forever Living’s fabulous mask uses the superior bio-cellulose material (of course!) and through a process unique to Forever, Aloe Bio-cellulose Mask’s formula fuses pure aloe and seagrass with the bio-cellulose fabric to soothe, soften and condition skin. Aloe is wonderful on the skin but this environmentally-friendly mask has also been enriched with a moisturising serum of green tea and horse chestnut that rejuvenates dull skin by combating the signs of ageing and reducing the appearance of redness.

And if that’s not enough, the excess serum in the pouch can be used on any other dry skin on the body, neck, chest etc, or on flyaway hair as a conditioner. And the mask can be recycled afterwards, and composted.

Treat yourself to this home spa experience, save a fortune, and feel fabulous. You can get it here:

How can aloe vera help animals? (Consult your vet please!)

Aloe vera has been used to help animals for centuries. And for many of the same problems as humans. Our pets and animals have digestive systems, skin, hair, teeth (not the birds!), immune systems, allergies, just like we do.

Here are some of the most popular products for animals, and a couple of surprises:

*Aloe vera drinking gel

Dogs and horses will take this with their food quite happily, cats will need some persuasion! Other animals can also take it (quantities depend on size) for helping with glossy coat, digestive system, respiratory system and all round wellbeing.

*Veterinary spray

A soothing spray for large areas of skin damage or to promote a glossy, healthy-looking coat. Perfect for when they won’t let you touch a sensitive area.

*AloeGelly and Propolis creme

These can both help with skin problems and wounds, gelly first, then propolis creme as it heals or itches. Can be safely re-applied frequently as required or licked off (perfectly safe if swallowed).

*Heat Lotion and MSM Lotion

Soothing and warming/cooling for muscle strains and stiff joints.

*Shampoo, liquid soap and MPD washing solution

Ideal for shiny healthy coats and for keeping bedding clean and bug-free. And no detergents.

*Toothgel

If it’s good enough for killer whales, it’s good enough for your pets. Especially older dogs prone to tartar buildup.

And many, many others too.

And I promised a surprise:

*Deodorant for horses

No, they don’t have smelly armpits, but it really helps keep flies away from their face.

Treat your animals – they’d ask you for them if they could, just click here to get yours:
